Leadership Lessons

Read all about it - came from a Derek Sivers TED chat I think

Dominc Wilcox

Does some pretty crazy stuff across the spectrum. Like this Orgsmatron 3000 washing machine:

Or this pedal bin that makes music every time it's opened:

This bed (think I've blogged this before):

And even sticking an on/off switch to his head for a month:

Make sure you check the work section of his website

Put your foot down

The Wilson Bros have just completed this awesome F1 car made out of shoe boxes for Puma - it's going in their store in Chicago.

Aspiral Clocks

I love new ways of doing something so simple as telling the time... meet Spiral Clocks

The spiral face turns slowly over a twelve hour period with a ball resting on the spiral ledge. When the clock reaches the final twelfth hour it drops through a hole to start all over again.

Watch

Drawn on towels

by Marc Johns - sweet little idea

Spot the tiger

Each week a new poll relating to a social issue is illustrated by a guest designer and put up for vote, there’s some great designs and interesting results. Get involved

This week's, illustrated by Zara Picken...

And some from the past

Mouse tracks

I saw this over at Crack Unit - a piece of software that tracks the movement of your mouse over a day (for example) and makes a visual of it. Nice...

You can download it and have a go yourself

Guilt free chocolate

David Edwards came up with the idea of “eating by breathing” and that's how "Le Whif" was born - a lipstick-size inhaler filled with chocolate particles with each "whif" being less than a single calorie.

If you're looking for a valentines card for that special someone in your life, look no further... 'Stank Sentiments For Sweethearts' quote different lyrical masterpieces from rap songs.

Sweman

This is old (2003) but good - on the streets of Bologna. A life size human poster of a character called Sweman who has a drinking problem, pisses everywhere and is just generally a man about town.

Rave boats

Not really. It's camouflage from WW1 called Razzle Dazzle by Norman Wilkinson. And an artist impression at that. All the actual images are B&W - see below.

Norman used bright, loud colours and contrasting diagonal stripes to make it incredibly difficult to gauge a ship’s size and direction.
