Paik Nam June Media Bridge - Seoul.

A 1080-metre bridge over the Han River, which is named after the Korean video and media artist Nam June Paik, will soon connect the Dang-Li power plant with the National Assembly building in Seoul, Korea. Planning Korea based in Seoul- are the architectural firm behind the mega-structure. It has a number of public facilities such as a museum, library and an IT complex mall over it. A series of structures lying parallel to the water surface will serve as docks for water taxis, yachts and cruise ships.

Nokia N8 Launch in China

During the launch for the N8 in China a pornographic video streamed LIVE causing an awkward/embarassing moment for the Finnish company.

That said they have been going to town on demonstrating the quality of the N8's output. The latest campaigns all challenge creatives to create with or on the new handset, letting the quality speak for itself. In the clip below the image is drawn using a stylus on the N8s touch screen.

And they have also remade Pearl Harbour shot entirely using the phone's built in camera. Using scale models it's a pretty impressive film.

Floating Observatories - Taiwan

Dorin Stefan's "Floating Observatories" tower; construction begins in 2012 in Taechung, Taiwan.

"Floating Observatories" is the winning entry in the recent Taiwan Tower Conceptual International Competition scooping a US$130,000 first prize. It now moves into the production phase as feasability studies take place. The new tower, standing more than 300 metres tall with its helium-filled observatory "leaves", will be the crown jewel of Taechung, the third largest city in Taiwan.

This Air France work is a build on our epic gig in the sky from 4/5 years ago where we had JK playing at 35,000 ft and broke a number of world records.

The Parisian agency BETC Euro RSCG presented 3 music artists with a challenge to write and compose a song on a flight between Paris and Tokyo. And all to promote Air France's new A380. Gonzales, Monsieur Monsieur and The Shoes all took part in the event.

Sam Adams Infinium Beer

We like beer and this one is priced like a bottle of cheap bubbly. Sam Adams Infinium Beer is sold in a wine-like 750 ml bottle with a foil-covered cork top. It's a unique brew and the result of a two-year collaboration between the Boston Brewing Co. and Germany's Weihenstephan Brewery. It's 10.3 percent alcohol by volume so packs a punch. Lovely packaging.

40 years

40 years has just won best international short film at the Orlando Film Festival along with a bucket load of other film festival selections and a couple of other prizes for best sound and best cinematography.

It's the first film directed and written by my old friend Russell Appleford. He created the Channel 4 idents and is a 3D wizard. For a short film it has an unprecedented level of CGI effects. That's due to Russ' skills and the fact that he created and animated the monster himself. I helped Russ out by painting the set at Greenford studios (I'm offically a Set Decorater) and Mr Shinn & I also did the type design.

Bear on the loose in Singapore

The video was uploaded to Stomp (The Strait Times portal for citizens' journalism) and it caused alarm as 50,000 viewed it. It's actually a man in a bear suit all for a Philips shaver. The police are now investigating if the stunt was a public nuisance that breached Section 268 of the Penal Code, which could lead to a S$1,000 fine.

Mike Ballard - he had his jacket nicked

In that split second A guy moves over to our table, squeezing through the crowds, grabs my coat and is out through the door, all while I am still pissing. It is the night everything changed"

It celebrates photography’s rich history in New York City and will be a place where photographers (all levels) can collaborate. The Photo Workshop will provide free photography resources including camera rentals of both digital and vintage film cameras alongside the use of studio space and professional lighting equipment. However, will punters just see it as Virgin muscling in on something which was beautiful in it's non-commercial naivety?

Nokia have been working on the push project for over a year. A crowd sourcing initiative to encourage folk to hack it's N900 phone. One of the resulting ideas was PUSH skating - basically it analyses the tricks you do on a skate board via sensors. it then turns the data into cool stats and graphics. It's the real world and Tony Hawk Pro-Skater melding into one.

They've now taken to the slopes and teamed up with Burton. I've got a feeling it still wouldn't make my pathetic 2 foot Ollies look very good.

Puma Sole hits India

Jack in the Box have created the sole machine for Puma. It travelled around 15 different destinaions in Mumbai. The Ambassador car was painted white and Mumbai urbanites were encouraged to tag it. Apparently they had to repaint it 4 times. The pimp your sole contest encouraged people to get creative online. It utilised Facebook and drove people to retail. The figures look good - 3 million impressions but India's population is over 1.2 Billion.

It's not the most original piece of activity but it is another example of digital and experiential blurring seamlessly to create a brand experience.

Power failure - Dazeley documents Battersea's decline

And if you're into bricks - 61 million bricks were used to build Battersea Power Station. It was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott & built in 1933. It went out of service in 1983.

The question has to be will the redevelopment retain any of this old character? The Tate breathed new life in to Bankside I somehow think the same won't be true of Battersea's reinvention.

Now there's nothing particularly Earth shattering in this over view from the mashable guys. It seems obvious to us that as social media networks, like Facebook, are adopted by the older masses they'll be rejected by the younger generation, who will inevitably move on to the next latest thing. After all who really wants to be hanging out in the same bar as their mum. In the next 5 years will we become more closed rather than open? Will social snobbery, privacy and fraud lead us to be more conservative, less trusting and more selective about who we let in to our various worlds?

"So what's this all about? Well, turns out that long established Soho record shop, Harold Moores (specialist in classical and jazz releases), is closing for a re-fit. In order to prepare the shop for its revamp, staff are chucking out thousands and thousands of records (well over 20,000 by my reckoning) - which were dumped, rather unceremoniously, in a skip outside the premises...

But that's not to say the records are destined for landfill just yet. During my lunchbreak I stumbled across this scene of vinyl hungry people clambering over each other to grab a few vintage slabs of wax..."
