Another great future transport idea coming out of China - The Straddling Bus...

Basically, cars travel and pass underneath, passengers travel in the top. It's neat. A similar though to the train that never stops

Power up
This power station in Roombeek, the Netherlands is designed to develop a sensibility for the consumption of energy and sustainable cohabitation. Looks stunning, lovely tiles and a great idea to make something visible and with a message - when most other power stations strive to be invisible within the landscape...

No Trash NYC
Lovely vision of a trashless NYC by Ideo...
NO TRASH NYC 2030 from IDEO on Vimeo.
Direct from their site: "As part of Living Climate Change, IDEO New York imagines Manhattan in 2030 as a city without trash. When most people consider the environmental impact of trash, steamy landfills and smoky incinerators come to mind. The reality, however, is that these are merely endpoints of a much larger system. Come take a look or view more scenarios at Living Climate Change, a place to discuss the most defining design challenge of our time."

The Plastiki Expedition

David de Rothschild, a 31-year-old English banking heir and environmental daredevil along with his team of hand picked scientists are on a mission, to address the issue of sustainability with the creation of Plastiki. An all around environmentally friendly masterpiece, the Plastiki is a 60-foot catamaran floating on approximately 12,000 reclaimed whole plastic bottles which have been highly pressurized. The masts are made out of reclaimed aluminum irrigation pipes, while the ropes are also made from recycled plastics.
