During the launch for the N8 in China a pornographic video streamed LIVE causing an awkward/embarassing moment for the Finnish company.
That said they have been going to town on demonstrating the quality of the N8's output. The latest campaigns all challenge creatives to create with or on the new handset, letting the quality speak for itself. In the clip below the image is drawn using a stylus on the N8s touch screen.
And they have also remade Pearl Harbour shot entirely using the phone's built in camera. Using scale models it's a pretty impressive film.

Levis Photo Workshop
The Levi’s Photo Workshop just opened in the former Deitch Gallery in NYC. It celebrates photography’s rich history in New York City and will be a place where photographers (all levels) can collaborate. The Photo Workshop will provide free photography resources including camera rentals of both digital and vintage film cameras alongside the use of studio space and professional lighting equipment. They also have photo printers so that the budding snappers can output their creations. Photographic experts will be on hand to offer guidance and advice in each area.

Power failure - Dazeley documents Battersea's decline
Looking like the inspiration for the set on Lost Dazeley's images record the sad deline of a London icon. See more images here
And if you're into bricks - 61 million bricks were used to build Battersea Power Station. It was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott & built in 1933. It went out of service in 1983.
The question has to be will the redevelopment retain any of this old character? The Tate breathed new life in to Bankside I somehow think the same won't be true of Battersea's reinvention.

Telstar Logistics
is the alter ego of Todd Lapin who uses it as a fictional company to gain access to lots of places mere mortals aren't allowed to go - then he photographs and documents them. Like this amazing shot from the top of the Golden Gate Bridge...

Photosketch
is pretty cool. Basically draw a shit picture of something and it will piece a real photographic interpretation of the drawing together from retrieved photos from the net.
Not sure how or why - but why not.

London Bridge
Nice little project from Chris Boardman where he has taken a shot each day over London Bridge on his commute to work. Then with some tech skills has animated the series together to provide one whole walk of the bridge. Check it out here

Babel Tales project
Get down with Peter Funch's photography. His latest project 'Babel Tales' sees him take thousands of pictures from the same spot - sometimes for up to 15 days at a time. He then goes through them all, identifies a pattern in the content and then stitches them together into a single image.
So it could be only people yawning...
Or only people taking a photo...
Or only people posing for a photo...
Or only doges minus walkers...
Really impressive - check it all out here + there is a nice feature in August's Wired magazine.
